ShoZu

I've signed up to ShoZu so that I can upload photos and videos from my JasJam directly to Flickr and YouTube. Seems to work well and free of charge. Nice one.

A week for breakages it seems

Well this week I've had two of the things I worked so hard for last year break in quick succession. The first was my beautiful Laver & Wood cricket bat I got last year in March. I've only been using it for this season and have scored less than 200 runs with it, but it now looks like this. Needless to say I have contacted the mob I bought it from (who were great during the purchase I might add) and hope to get a good outcome. I'll keep you up to date with the result of that.

The second is my Xbox 360. I've got the dreaded "Three red lights flash on the Ring of Light" situation, indicating a hardware problem. I'm going to call support now.

I hope these things don't really happen in threes.

Getting Windows Mobile 5 to sync to Exchange via Vista and Windows Mobile Device Center

So you want to sync your Windows Mobile device to your Exchange Server via your connection to Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows Vista? So did I but I was having trouble, seems that the device just couldn't find the Exchange Server via the PC. Turns out, if your running anything other than the standard Windows Firewall then you need to open some ports. I'm running Windows Live OneCare and even though it has a preset for allowing ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center, it doesn't seem to allow the pass-through of the device to the Internet. So the ports you need to open are:

Port Protocol Direction
990 TCP Inbound
999 TCP Inbound
5678 TCP Inbound
5679 UDP Outbound
5721 TCP Inbound
26675 TCP Inbound
